The old adage is that bad news sells newspapers. Perhaps that holds true for the rest of the media as well. A case in point, NAR's (National Association of Realtors) most recent report showed the Housing Affordability Index reaching a six-year high. That meant a family earning the median income had 141% of the income needed to buy a median-priced ($181.8K) house. A search of the major media failed to find that positive news.
